HC prompt, Violet II cannot be presented to the court by her mother because she was never presented. Violet shocks everyone when she asks her Aunt Eloise to be her sponsor. Her parents assumed Lady Kate or Lady Violet would be the sponsor. Eloise is shocked and wants to know why Violet would want her, she has never presented anyone as Amanda refused a season and her daughter are too young. Could you imagine the hijinks, the Crane and Bridgerton family would get up too. Eloise and Violet II
Oh I love it.
Though my HC is that Sophie actually gets to present her daughter herself because the Queen makes an exception as a favour to Benedict.
He does a painting for the king and they offer him a knighthood but he turns it down in exchange for his wife being able to present their daughter at court despite never being able to.
The queen obliges so Sophie is able to present Violet herself.

Ooh as always Ash you've got such great ideas!!
HEADCANONS:
As I've said in my version of the Lake Scene here, that Sophie loves the water as it helps her think. Therefore, I have the head canon that pre-children, whenever Sophie struggled or felt overwhelmed, Benedict would always find her by the lake.
KEY SCENES:
Any of the one's I've mentioned in my #an offer from an avid reader posts.
I also want Sophie and Violet pow-wow. In my head I would actually like the reveal of Violet being a wallflower to be in conjunction with a chat with Sophie about Eloise and motherhood.
The garden scene (or as I did in my version, the swing scene).
Bridgerton tea scenes. Unlike the other books, JQ really upped the Bridgerton family dynamics in AOFAG and I really need these to be prioritised in Benophie season rather than random c-tier plots of the Featheringtons.
Benophie week day 2
So we all know how important the Lake is in the book and we all agree that it’s a key moment for our favourite couple…
So today’s discussion is two part…
Firstly… what headcanons do you have that surround the lake and the Benophie family…
Secondly: what other scenes in the book do you think are an absolute MUST for their season?
Again I’ll start:
For headcanons:
The staff at My Cottage don’t go down the lake to summon Mr and Mrs Bridgerton if they are down there alone… they’ve all seen their master and mistress in nothing at all too many times so Mr Crabtree installs a bell not too far away that they ring but only when it’s urgent or time for food.
It’s the place they take their children regularly and family when they come to visit. It’s where they have picnics and have their own Pall Mall set… and much like the lake at Aubrey Hall… it’s full of Pall Mall balls.
Key scenes:
It’s not so much a NEED but a Want…
Sophie leaving and talking to Violet. I want to see that scene played out as I think it would totally break our hearts but would be beautiful but to see Sophie thanking Violet, for accepting her for the first time in her life. Making her part of the family… let’s see some proper angsty heart breaking scenes.

What do you think each Bridgerton sibling (and their spouses when they're married) do for 'Christmas themes' for their decorations? I love your headcanons!
I had written something like this last year but I can't bloody find it...
so
Anthony and Kate: Quite traditional and I think they'd do a mixture of Diwali and Christmas. Anthony is a bit of a stickler for making sure things are in the right place and there are certain decorations that no one is allowed to touch, old family ornaments whereas Kate is a little more chaotic with their decorations.
Benedict and Sophie: Over the Top, looks like something out of a magazine with everything perfect in it's place despite the kids getting involved. Loads of the decorations are handmade and there is always a HUGE homemade gingerbread house somewhere in the house and there is always christmas treats freshly baked in the house whenever someone comes around.
Colin and Penelope: i think there a little more subtle with their decorations and it's often last minute if they've been travelling or busy with work, they have a tree and some lights and always put a stocking up but a lot of their decorations are things Colin picked up on their travels.
Daphne and Simon: it's always themed and always colour coordinated no matter what. Daphne starts planning her christmas decorations the year before so she can go out and buy whatever she needs and often gets it post-christmas in the sales but it's always impeccable and inch perfect and she KNOWS if anyone's been in and moved something.
Eloise and Phillip: REAL tree, none of your plastic things here. Phillip enjoys making a wreath or two and the kids like to help make decorations with holly and ivy. all their decorations are real and as much as Eloise said she wouldn't be one of those people making christmas decorations in November, she finds herself happily sitting and making wreaths, drying out fruits and everything to make their decorations because she sees how happy it makes Phillip and the kids.
Francesca and Michael: Warm and Cosy, Scotland is bloody cold at Christmas and they just go with the cosy vibes, reds, greens, tartans all over the place. they've got a mixture of homemade decorations that they've received from Eloise and Sophie over the years as well as ones they've made themselves but they have a stock of their christmas things and use the same things over and over.
Gregory and Lucy: It's like Christmas threw up in their home, Star Wars themed decorations everywhere, right down to an inflatable Darth Vader. Lucy can't bare to say no to him when he comes running up to her in the shop and dragging her over to an ATAT that has a red nose on it like Rudolph that goes on your roof... her only stipulation is that he doesn't put it up... since he fell off the roof the year before...
Hyacinth and Gareth: absolutely no theme, no thought to it what so ever much to Daphne's displeasure. if it's Christmassy and Hyacinth likes it then she gets it. it's like a child went through a catalogue and just bought all the things that they liked regardless if they match. it's just Christmas chaos and suits Hyacinth's personality to a tea. Gareth however does make the request that they have a manager outside as part of his Italian Heritage... but what he doesn't realise is that Greg swapped Baby Jesus out for Grogu...

What are you favorite benophie headcannons?
Lord…
We could be here all day…
But some of them…
Sophie has a golden retriever… because she is basically one in human form. - really in modern only….
Sophie is a baker and a good cook.
One of my favourite regency ones is that Alexander works with Prince Albert on all the architectural changes they make to London and they’re good friends and that Benedict is asked to do a portrait of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert and it’s the only time he ever does a commissioned painting outside of his family… and instead of being paid he gets permission for Sophie to present Violet to court herself when she debuts.

I would like to see Benedict secretly handing over a love letter or poem to Sophie
oh absolutely, he totally would just slip little notes into things or little doodles. he'd sneak into her room and leave them for her, or leave them in places that he knew only she would find them.
Sophie desperately trying not to swoon or fall more in love with each little note and doodle she comes across.
even after they are married he would continue to do it, just something he had seen or thought of during the day, something that reminded him of her.
they would mean nothing to anyone else but to her they mean the world.

Okay so I'm gonna go way back to Sophie in Wildest Dreams & I wanna know nr. 7 & 24
You really wanna make this hard don't you???
7) Their happiest memory
Happiest memory... jesus wept you read WD didn't you...
I think her happiest memory BEFORE meeting Benedict would be her birthday a few months before Araminta came into the picture, it was a day with her father... it was one day he took an interest in her and they went out for ice cream and he let her have three scoops and lots of chocolate sprinkles on and took her to the fair...
it was the best day ever.
24) If they have a good luck charm, if so what it is and why it’s important
her stuffed dog toy and her grandmother's cook books...
her stuffed dog was the only thing she has left from her mother... it's old and falling apart but she always had it with her, when she had him she felt safe.
Her grandmother's cookbooks are very much what kept her sane. to see her mother and grandmother's handwriting and to know someone had loved her once... was the thing that kept her sane and going.
Whenever she had those two items with her, she felt like she could endure anything, it was why she aways carried them with her

I would love to know know Mrs. Wilson's reaction to Sophie becoming Mrs. Bridgerton!
Oh I imagine Mrs Wilson would have been loving it!
She’s seen her since she came into the house and the way Master Benedict was loitering and staring at the new pretty housemaid l.
Mrs W knew instantly she’s not what she said…
Part of my Headcanons is that Mrs Gibbons and Mrs Wilson are sisters… and the moment she sees her she knows who she is but it’s not her place to say so when she learns that Miss Beckett is to become Mrs Bridgerton, she’s on top of the world along with Mrs Crabtree and Mrs Gibbons!

i forgot about these and i still stand by them. they're hilarious and i love pregnant Sophie
Do you have any pregnant Sophie HCs? (Other than the widely accepted ones 😄) I don't feel like I see people mention often things like cravings, or how Sophie felt or how Benedict treats her so I was just curious what you think!
Okayyyyyy pregnant Sophie headcanons here we go!
Sophie gets really bad morning sickness with the boys but it’s nothing compared to the sickness with Violet.
Literally 80% of foods turns her stomach and for the first three months of her last pregnancy she’s eating bland toast and can’t even tolerate sugar in her tea.
Her cravings vary from baby to baby. With Charlie she craves fruit. Strawberries and bananas mostly and very weirdly… peas! (The peas not so weird when we learn later what he becomes 😂)
Alex it’s all sugary treats. Shortbread biscuits. Turkish delight anything sugar.
William is a bit more relaxed, less sugar but tart things. Lemons and the like. Benedict comes home one day and sees her eating slice of lemon like it’s an orange.
With Violet she can’t bare food the only thing she craves is her husband.
Whilst she’s always been horny when pregnant when she’s carrying Violet it’s like another level. Benedict actually worries he’s gonna break. Not sure if he’ll break his tongue or his cock but something is defo going to break if it doesn’t calm down soon!
He accidentally makes Sophie cry when he complains about it to Anthony not realising Sophie heard every word…
Sophie’s rage when pregnant is some rather magnifient to behold. She rarely shouts but she loses her temper one day when pregnant with Charlie, Colin and Anthony teasing her over something trivial and she has them both as a cowering mess before she’s even finished her tirade.
Then bursts into tears to really confuse her brothers in law.
Kate assumes they made her cry and gives them what for as does Benedict. Only to realise they’ve just been bollocked by three people…
Benedict does everything he can to try and make Sophie’s life easier whilst she’s pregnant with Charlie
He rubs her feet and her back and does everything he thinks she wants to him to do. Trying to fix everything last little thing and all Sophie wants to do is complain, have a cuddle and leave it be.
So he inadvertently over does it and Sophie just can’t handle it anymore and Kate has to explain to him that Sophie doesn’t want him to fix everything but just listen (think Chris with Ann in Parks and Rec)
He learns when she’s pregnant the second time he always offers to rub her feet and her back and carry her to bed when she’s tried. Ask first and save a ringing ears from the yelling then tears.
Whenever she yells at someone she always bursts into tears immediately after.
Sophie always ends up huge, given her petite stature due to her malnutrition, despite her curves she always looks like ballon and feels like it. She waddles when she walks and hates her ankles and her boobs! Jesus Christ she wants to rip them off her body even if her husband can’t stop staring at them…
She feels constantly exhausted and drained and whenever anyone says she’s glowing she says “you try throwing up 10 hours a day. It’s sweat not a glow!”
Kate loves pregnant Sophie’s sass but not when it’s directed directly at her.
Violet finds it hilarious and the Bridgerton’s aren’t ever sure which Sophie they’re going to get and Benedict loves it!
The only two people Sophie doesn’t ever snap at throughout any of her pregnancies are Hyacinth and Violet.

Hey! Love your blog sm (finally fell down the benophie hole) and now that my internship is ending I can finally take some time to write fics and headcanons for kathony and benophie cuz those families make me weak. I was just wondering what your headcanons on a modern day benophie holiday with the kids would be like (maybe a beach holiday or sightseeing? Or both 😊).
Sooooo i've had a few days to think of these because I think it would vary from AU to AU... so i'll do the 6 main modern AUs i've written and write what I think they would do...
Bridgerton Enterprise AU
very much family orientated holidays, theme parks, Disney World and Universal. as they're really close with Kate and Anthony the two broods go on holidays together
they travel quite a bit as a family for Fashion weeks. Paris is one of Benophie's favourite cities so when the kids are old enough to appreciate it, they take them with them. Alex falls in love with the city. Violet loved the food. New York was William's favourite. Milan Charlie's.
Time after Time Au
Benedict loves travelling and taking Sophie to places as she's never travelled. Their Honeymoon was a month around Europe as Sophie was very nervous about flying.
When the kids come their holidays vary from a beach holiday staying in good hotels with a kids club and water parks, to keep the kids interested and active (and to make the little buggars sleep)
Sophie, Violet and Cecilia and Ceclia's daughter Beatrix (who is a few months younger than Benedict) organise a huge family holiday to Disney World... between the Bridgerton's and the Rokesby's they took up two hotels (Sophie booked a third for her family... just for the sake of some peace and quiet...) and an ENTIRE airplane... and honestly as much as it was a great holiday... Sophie vowed never again as it was like a military operation
As the World Falls Down AU
for obvious reasons, travelling is a bit of a nightmare in this au because of Sophie's leg. She doesn't wish to be a burden but having to take her wheelchair everywhere is just a buggar and when the kids come along, a wheelchair and a pushchairs, she thinks it's not worth the faff.
They had flown for their honeymoon and Sophie had felt awful watching Benedict hauling everything around and her chair and vowed she would never fly again afterwards.
Once the twins William and Violet are 3 years old, Benedict surprises Sophie with a family holiday. He and Anthony plan the entire thing and they went on the Disney Cruise for 3 weeks and it turned out to be the best 3 weeks of Sophie's life. when the twins were 10 they did actual Disney World and Sophie had never been more pleased for her Wheelchair
From the Ashes AU
Sophie loves travelling after years of being stuck she wanted to get out and Benedict was thrilled to take her. they toured Europe together after the trial and before their wedding.
Their honeymoon was driving around America for two months.
When the kids came along, travel was a bit harder but they still went away. Long weekends away to France and Italy as they were Sophie's favourite places.
Paws for Thought AU
you can take the girl out of the farm but you can't take the farm out of the girl... Sophie is a homebird and loves Staycations with her brood. Scotland is one of her favourite places to go and they own a caravan and with the band of dogs and kids, go off travelling when the farm permits them. She loves travelling over to Ireland as well, though Benedict does get seasick.
Benedict did managed to convince Sophie to go aboard for a Babymoon. Richard looked after Arthur and Benedict took Sophie to the South of France and whilst she felt like a fish out of water, she did enjoy herself and conceded that perhaps she might be open to more travel in future...
A Work of Art AU
Sophie loves to travel, she and Benedict, their first summer together went touring around France and Italy going around all of the Museums and Art Galleries. Benedict had planned to propose to Sophie in Italy but that plan changed, it was instead used as a post engagement Celebration.
For their honeymoon they went to South America and did a three month tour around the ruins and the picturesque views. Benedict took so many photos and got the inspiration for his first Gallery showing.
They went to Japan to see the Rugby World Cup, with Charlie staying with Richard whilst they were away for two weeks and it became Sophie's favourite place in the world. it wasn't really a surprise that she came back pregnant.

So you remember your fic with Benophie and Philoise called "Lakeside picnic"? I know you mentioned there that Sophie is the disciplinarian parent. But, I was watching that clip where Benedict is parenting Hyacinth and Gregory and it got me thinking.
I truly love that fic, but maybe Benedict with his experience would be able to wrangle the kids easier. In AOFAG Sophie realizes she would be a terrible governess. I don't know, it's just something I thought after watching that clip. I'm sure they'd be a great team. But again, that fic is one of my favorites. I can't wait for those two couples to interact.
Maybe yes but this is how I see it…
Benedict absolutely can wrangle the kids quicker but the boys are mama’s boys through and through and aren’t that naughty most of the time so a stern word from their mother they know they crossed a line.
Sophie just has to look at them and be like boys…” and their fear of disappointing or making their mama unhappy usually is enough.
However on the rare occasions they are being very naughty, Benedict comes in and when Papa comes in for discipline they know they really messed up.
Benedict is laidback and what’s his kids to have the happy childhood he had with Anthony running wild and causing trouble so he’s prepared to let things be a little more troublesome than Sophie is.
But when Mama comes and finds all three boys and her husband covered in mud from being down the lake and playing pirates and in a tree when she’s pregnant with Violet, including little William being up the tree… let’s just say.
It’s the reason the boys are so terrified of their mother shouting at them…

You mentioned you have standard HCs for the Benophie babies... you've probably shared them before but I was wondering what they are? I feel like everyone agrees Violet is a daddy's girl and all the boys are mama's boys 😄
My Standard Benophie Baby headcanons.
these are the ones off the top of my head…
Charlie:
Anthony and Phillip are his favourite Uncle’s. He follows his Uncle Phillip’s footsteps into something to do with Botany and plants, be it medicine or gardening or even farming. He has a green finger and he’s the one when he gets older that brings the My Cottage gardens back to life.
He’s the shortest of the three boys and the most serious but he has a wicked streak and easily gets away with pranks. He’s got his mother’s brain and observation skills and his Uncle Anthony’s competitive streak…
He is a mummy’s boy through and through.
He looks more like Anthony than he does his father but has hazel eyes and his mother’s nose.
His first word is Mama and he starts to walk at around 7 months old, by passing crawling and has the Bridgerton appetite.
Alex:
The troublemaker! He is conceived in an art gallery! In any and every AU he is conceived somewhere in an Art gallery or an exhibition of some description…
He is named after his great grandmother, the person who inspired his father to create.
He has a creative gene but it’s combined with his mother’s mathematical brain so he creates and builds rather than paints.
He is very close to his older brother and was the one who gets detention the most. He can have a bit of a temper and can struggle to control it, when he feels emotion he feels it and can’t hide it.
He is the one more likely to cry out of his siblings. He is a sensitive soul and is very close to his mother. Like his brother his first word was Mama but he did crawl more than walked, but only because his mother would carry him.
Alex is the prank master, is the evil mastermind of ideas and the one who would get caught because he couldn’t hide the glee on his face.
He is the perfect combination of Sophie and Benedict, he has Sophie’s curls but Benedict’s chestnut hair. His eyes are a light moss green. He cannot garden but he has his mother’s cooking skills.
William:
William is a mini Benedict. He is the tallest of his brothers and it is uncanny how much he looks like his father even down to his eye colour.
He has his father’s self-deprecating personality and no matter what he does, he doesn’t think he is good enough, be it playing rugby or as a musician.
He clings to Sophie for weeks after Charlie takes poorly until the day Violet was born. He says when he gets older he just had a feeling something was going to go wrong and he didn’t want his sister to be alone.
William and Charlotte are born a few hours apart and are as thick as thieves, even when Violet is born. William gives Violet her nickname of Vivi as he had a little bit of a lisp as a child and couldn’t say her name.
William introduces both Charlotte and Violet to their future husbands.
William is closest to Violet and loved singing with and to his baby sister. He had only ever wanted to be a big brother and he got to be that to Violet.
William is musically minded, from a young age he could sit at a piano and play a tune, he could sing better than any of his cousins or brothers. It is his passion and his hobby.
Violet:
Violet or Vivi is a mini Sophie. She is the worst birth of all four Benophie babies and comes into the world a lot earlier than expected.
Despite her tiny stature, she is the fiercest of her siblings. She is soft and sweet and looks very docile and serene but she has, like her mother before her, punched her future husband in the face.
She loves all her brothers and has everyone in the family wrapped around her finger. Eloise teaches her to shoot and she’s actually the most competitive out of all her family. Charlotte is her best friend in the world as is her brother William.
Violet would have all her brother’s sitting with her dolls and toys having tea parties with her, even getting Edmund and Miles involved.
She was seen having one with all of her uncles one day because all the boys were out and no one else was around. She had spent time putting flowers in their hair and their wives all came across the scene, Violet with her Uncle Anthony, Simon, Phillip and Michael all sat with flowers in their hair next to Benedict who didn't have a care in the world.
Violet is a daddy’s girl through and through, she screamed if anyone but her father put her to bed and could often be found resting on his chest when he worked or painted.
Her husband, in any AU, is called Edward.

Hi hello this might be random but I know you're having a tough time lately and you love Benophie so... Do you have thoughts/headcanons about Modern Benophie at Disney World in Orlando? (Disney World is the happiest place on earth so I thought it would be a nice happy headcanon for you to think about) I always thought that Modern Sophie would be a big Disney lover. <3
Ohhhh Benophie at Orlando!!
I LOVE THIS IDEA.
Sophie is absolutely a disney lover, so is Benedict so the thought of taking their kids to America and Disney World would be amazing. Though I do think they would likely go with Anthony and Kate with all of the kids together but I totally have some ideas on this…
Not loads as sadly I have never been myself!!!
Sophie is absolutely one of those mum’s who would have her kids in matching T-Shirts, if we take the BE AU Sophie, she totally makes them herself, each of the kids’ names on back and she’s got one for her and Benedict as well and she totally insists that she and Benedict wearing matching Mickey and Minnie ears.
They would go when all the kids were young enough to want to dress up but old enough to appreciate it so like, Charlie would be 12, Alex 10, William 8 and Violet 6.
Charlie would be excited about the Star Wars and Universal things and spend his time either dressed up in Wizarding gear or as a Jedi or Storm Trooper.
Alex was obsessed with his older brother and demanded to be matching his brother so would be dressed as the matching pair for his brother, though rather than being a storm trooper he wanted to be BB8 so Sophie made him a little costume.
William was obsessed with animals and the dinosaurs still at this age so he was in a dinosaur onesie and just wanted to be around the animals and loved the seaworld.
Violet was all Disney Princess. Each day she was dressed as a different princess and had to have her photo taken with each princess and each character as they went and begged her mummy to dress up with her. So Sophie was dressed as a matching princess with her daughter, much to Benedict’s amusement and delight.
(and definitely his delight after the kids disappeared for an afternoon and he disappeared up his wifes skirts…)
Benedict wanted lots of family photos and was one of those annoying tourists who carried his camera around everywhere and spent forever trying to get the right photo until all of his children were shouting at him to just take the photo.
After the first day of queuing for everything, Sophie relented and let Benedict buy all the fast passes because she had soon realised 4 children in the heat and long queues was just hell.
Alex and Charlie would eat so many sweets they threw up multi coloured sick and ruined their t-shirts.
Alex and William fell out on the flight over who got to sit next to their mama. Violet fell asleep on her father.
At one point Sophie and Benedict would be carrying two children each after they had been so sure they would be able to stay up to see the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom only for them all to start whining and crying after the fireworks because they were tired.
The highlight for Sophie was some of the tourists coming up and asking her if her husband was one of the Prince’s as he looked like he could be Prince Eric from the Little Mermaid and Anthony’s face when the woman laughed at him when he asked which Disney Prince he was.
For Benedict it was the look on all of his children’s face which he managed to get on camera when they walked into Disneyworld for the first time.
The low point? The 8 hour delay on the flight home and all four of the children having a massive argument in the middle of the terminal be

If Violet ever decided to take part in a play (like a school play or something), Benedict would probably one of those embarrassingly proud theater dads.
Benedict would be a proud theatre dad and Sophie would be helping make all the costumes for the little ones.
Violet dragging Charlotte along, Anthony grumbling and becoming just as engrossed as Benedict and all the mums fawning over them both.
Both of them standing up filming the entire thing and Benedict offering doing all the promo and advertising for the shows.
Which thanks to the HUGE bridgerton clan are always sold out.

By far my favourite online in AOFAG is “I would die before sharing you. How could I ask you to do the same?” Do you have any head canons of how regency Ben would react if he found out Sophie (when she was still a servant) was getting attention from other men of her class?
Benni boy is always gonna be a jealous bean with his wife…
But let’s have a look shall we?
Benedict shouldn’t have been surprised that other people found Sophie attractive. She was a stunningly beautiful woman, even when she was in the drab and coarse dresses she wore at the Cavender’s, and even when she was in Mrs Crabtree’s ridiculous clothing, she was still the most beautiful woman Benedict had ever seen.
She was petite, she was gamine, and she was adorable, with green eyes like Emeralds that lit up when she laughed and smiled. The way her cheeks flushed when she was reading, or when she was caught looking at him but the first time he had seen that blush creep on her cheeks at his mother’s home, Benedict’s blood had boiled, and he just wanted to strangle the footman.
Sophie had been coming down from tending to his sisters and had paused to talk to the footman and the footman had leaned so casually against the wall next to her, talking to her, and she laughed, and her cheeks flushed red. Benedict had been trying to follow her out to the garden, wanting to talk to her again, but seeing her talking to someone more suitable, more of her own class made him feel sick.
The thought of Sophie ending up with someone else made him ill. When he managed to finally kiss her in the archway in his mother’s garden he knew that this was the woman for him, he couldn’t bear the thought of her being with anyone else. She deserved a life of comfort, of jewels and a man who would worship her.
He didn’t want her as a prize, he wanted her for his, he didn’t want to share… and as his mistress, as his, he wouldn’t have to share… or he would hope he didn’t.
He watched over the following two weeks, the entire household staff, save for the butler adored Sophie. He felt jealousy burn through his skin whenever he saw her talking to another man, regardless of who it was. When she talked to his older brother he felt the urge to strangle his own brother.
In the week he locked himself in his home after he had gotten a taste, gotten to know the feel of Sophie, got to know just how perfect she was for him was torture, he dreamt of her running away with the footman, of another man getting to know her intimately so it was why when he walked towards his mother’s, having been summoned, it was with a sense of dread and purpose.
Sophie had to be his. He needed her like he needed air. He would follow her anyway and if it meant being kicked out of his family, he was seriously considering it…
He loved her. He was sure she loved him… would that be enough?
He had never imagined the burning sensation of jealousy and rage that would cross him when he discovered that she was his lady in silver as well…
The nightmares he had that night where of Sophie in her Silver Gown running away with the footman, laughing in his face and he wasn’t sure what he was angrier at, himself for not realising, his brain for letting him think of these thoughts, or Sophie not telling him…
But seeing her in that Jail, hearing what the warden had done to her… he had never been more pleased he had punched a man.
3 days and she would be his. 3 more days and she would belong to him and all his dreams would come true.
When he eventually told Sophie of his jealous thoughts about the footmen, the butlers, the messengers, Sophie assured him of her love for him and that how she had been sure that before Benedict she had been positive she would never marry, and until the moment his ring slid onto her finger, she had been sure it had been a dream, and that she would have woken up in the tiny attic room at Penwood House and be back to her dull life.
Benedict might still get jealous when other men paid his wife attention, but she was his, and he was hers and she would always come back to him.

Okay but just imagine Sophie seeing Benedict holding baby Violet in his arm and with tears in her eyes thinking "She's gonna have the fatherly love I didn't have" 🥺😭
By the time baby Vivi comes along Sophie is under no illusion that Benedict is a wonderful father and that her kids’ upbringing couldn’t be any different to her own.
They are always included and even as babies when he’s working on his art, he’d always have them resting on his chest as he worked, strapped there usually after he got totally shouted at by Sophie for swinging on his chair with baby Charles in his lap.
But with Vivi, Sophie hadn’t expected the bond to be so strong between them. The three boys gravitated towards her, William and Alex especially, we’re very much mummy’s boys and even as adults it didn’t change but Vivi has been a daddy’s girl since the moment of her birth, hell if not from her conception
Though Sophie was barely conscious when Benedict was handed his practically purple new born daughter, she had known that his heart belonged to another. Their princess.
The first time she saw them properly after she recovered from Violet birth (in any au), waking to see her husband in the seat next to the bed, their tiny bundle of joy in his arms, their princess clinging to her father’s finger like she was clinging to life itself, caused Sophie to burst into hysterical tears.
She loved them both so much.
So It didn’t bother her when Violet refused to sleep for the first 4 months of life unless Benedict put her to sleep, it didn’t bother her that Pap pap were her first words.
She just loved watching Benedict with their children and felt so unbelievably lucky that she got the life she had always dreamed, her Prince Charming and her three perfect little princes and their perfect little princess.

HC idea request - how do regency Sophie & Benedict react when they find out they’ll be grandparents (particularly Charlie (first grandchildren) and Violet (as the baby girl of the family))
I love this!
So they’re obviously very happy with their kids getting married, (I have seperate HCs for these so some of this might not make sense as I've not posted my Marriage HCs for Benophie babies here…
Charlie: When Charlie and his wife Maggie come to them about 2 months after their wedding, Sophie just knew. Maggie looked so much like her mother and her aunt that Sophie had known from the moment they had climbed out the carriage in front of Bridgerton House. They were in town for the season and Sophie had told Benedict. Benedict shook his head not believing her but an hour later when Charlie had nervously told his parents they were going to be Grandparents, Sophie beamed and cried that her baby that she nearly lost twice was going to be a Papa. Benedict grumbled later that night that he was too young to be a grandpapa, even though he was now in his 50’s and showing signs of the silver flecks in his hair.
Alexander: Alex’s wife was the daughter of an Earl and Alex being very clever managed to get himself elected as a member of parliament only weeks before he married so he was pretty busy and though he and his wife were rather active it was 8 months before they announced their pregnancy. Sophie was already a grandmother twice over as Maggie had twins and was thrilled. Benedict grumbled about getting old but was thrilled. He did have an argument with the Earl about his reaction after Alexander told him. Alex might be a second son but he was the second son of the Queen’s artist after all, and Alex was far cleverer than the Earl and his son’s… Alex’s wife’s pregnancy was very difficult for the first, she was a petite woman (like Sophie) and Sophie as she had no mother of her own, looked after her. Alex’s daughter was born at My Cottage.
William: William was a bit older than both of his brother’s when he married, he was concentrating on his artist career, he married only 6 months before Violet. His wife was a musician and the same age as him, however, much to Benedict’s amusement, their son was born only 8.5 months into the marriage. Benedict had laughed a little despite Sophie being a little scandalised but no one really seemed to pay attention in society.
Violet: Benedict cried when Violet married, he cried when she came out. His baby girl, his mini Sophie was everything he had wanted in his daughter. She was beautiful and graceful and she was every part the Duchess she ended up becoming. She took 5 seasons before she married, between her brothers and her cousin’s she was lucky to get a word in but despite him being friends with Alexander their meeting was by chance. Violet told her mother first that she was pregnant worried about how her father would react but when she told him, he had pulled her onto his lap, despite now being nearly 60, and held her like he had when she was a girl and sobbed. He was inconsolable for three days that his baby girl was going to be a mother but when her son, named for her father was put in his arms he vowed he would be the best damned grandpa ever.
Charlie had three kids, the twins (Phillip and Matthew) and a girl (Rose Edwina)
Alex had two, a daughter named for their mother’s (Sophia Jane affectionately called SJ by the family) and a son (Charles William)
William had four, two boys two girls. (Alexander Oliver, George Benedict, Maria and Iris)
Violet had three. A Son Benedict Charles, a daughter (Named for her best friend and favourite Aunt) Charlotte Grace and then a third son who was named Anthony Michael after her two favourite uncles...
